Overview

Verifying the accuracy of loads gathered by the picking process. The warehouse Clerk will stage loads, prepare loads for routes and seal the trucks prior to sending out to stores. The Warehouse Clerk also coordinates activities to support the loading, unloading, moving and storing of materials and products. This position counts, measures, or weighs articles to verify contents of route trucks against invoices.

Duties and Responsibilities

Review load and plan the work load

Conduct layer process review, review order selectors and manage picking process. Check for accuracy from picker

Stage load and prepare for loading of trucks

Start the loading process, park and seal all trucks

Load delivery trucks and other outbound shipments of billed orders

Fill case and bottle orders for products

Restock daily bottle and case inventory sold

Meet schedules and timelines

Participate in inventory counts as directed

Understand the safety rules and requirements in the workplace

Attend safety meetings and take all safety classes, as needed

Ensure warehouse equipment service needs, safety needs and other safety issues are reported promptly

Responsible for filling out equipment report before usage

Responsible for meeting operational efficiency goals

Create deliveries for all relative SAP order types

Schedule inbound trucks

Assign specific job tasks based on daily loading and unloading schedules and specific instructions from Warehouse Supervisor

Maintain log that tracks start and finish time of loading each truck, as required

Create documents including material pick sheets, billing, driver manifest, and invoices

Examine articles for defects and sort articles according to extent of defect

Attach identification data onto pallets for routes

Able to perform tasks with other systems (Bev Scan / Bev Pro / Roadnet / Mobilecast)

Participate in the On-line training course each quarter

Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalency; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

1 year of clerk or warehouse experience

One year of driver experience

Valid Class A or B license

Must be able to lift 40-50 lbs. for an extended period of time.

Preferred Qualifications

Planning and organizational skills necessary to coordinate workload around multiple assignments

Communication skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals and departments

Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods

Good organizational and time management skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
